You step through into the chamber containing the shrinking mechanism - you're completely unaware of the code-name assigned to it, just as you are ignorant of most technological details about your offcie base facilities.
It's a gleaming metallic structure that dominates the room, covered with flashy, probably needless, details like dials and electricity orbs, spooling tape and ratcheting discs. Miss Hensley moves to one side and gestures towards it with one arm. You presume that you're meant to appraoch it, but exactly how it activates you're not sure...
Then gunfire! You whirl on the spot, already reaching for your sidearm as a man - face hidden beneath a balaclava - bursts into the room, his semi-automatic smoking.

He's got another thing coming. You don't need to waste bullets to take down a third-rate terrorist on his own. You tackle him to the ground before he's aware that you've moved, and as he drops his weapon you begin to administer punches to his face.
You can hear Miss Hensley rushing over to the alarm mounted near the doorway, but register little else as the man throws out a punch of his own, snapping your neck to the side. Stronger than he looks, this one...
Your writhing combat, each struggling to get atop the other to finish the fight once and for all, comes to a crashing end as you collide with the machine, which proceeds to whine in protest, flash pretty lights, and presumably activate.
