The sky was blue, but not the blue sky of Earth. It was light blue, not the dark blue of Earth's skies. It was a clear day with not a single cloud in it. The buildings of the city were crystal clear in the background, but the man who was holding the blond-haired baby in his arms wasn't clear. All of his clothes were in focus, but the man's face was in shadow.
"It's time Washu" said the man. "we both knew this day would come"
"Please let me say good-bye to the baby!" pleaded Washu. Tears were rolling down her face, and she reached for the baby. The man and the baby vanished into thin air, leaving Washu alone.
"Just what I told you" said a distant voice that Washu knew so well. "mortals will only make you sad with thier social status"
"No..." said Washu. "not all...not all..." Washu broke down crying. "not all mortals are like that!"
"Time to wake up, Washu"
Washu woke with a start. She had fallen asleep across her work station again, like she always did. The dream was still vivid in her mind. That wasn't the only time that she had that dream either. Washu has had that same dream off and on for 20,000 years. The dream--no, it wasn't a dream--it was more a memory than a dream. A terrible memory that happened when Washu was young, around 26 or so. The memory of her very first child being taken away from her by the baby's father. Washu couldn't remember the father's face, but she did remember what the baby looked like. The baby had waved sadly as he was taken away from his mother. That dream had haunted Washu ever since. It seemed that she couldn't purge the memory from her mind either.
The voice had come from one of the Washu dolls that had a big letter "A" on its belt.
Everybody that knew Washu, knew that the genius loved having babies. Over her 20,000-year-life, the red-headed Washu had countless children with countless men. Her last child was born 2,000 years ago and was still living. It was Hakubi, her son. Hakubi was a genius like his mother, but he had a love that totally made Washu cringe. Hakubi loved Mihoshi. She had no idea why her son loved that airhead at all. True, Mihoshi was beautiful, but that was the only good thing about that klutz from hell.
Washu had offered having Tenchi's child several times, and all those times within earshot of Ryoko and Ayeka. Washu did that just to see the reactions of Ayeka and of her daughter. It was highly amusing to the red-headed ex-goddess.
But, in the past few weeks, Washu had an idea going through her exceptional head. What if she could unbirth Tenchi, bringing him to her womb? The idea of it made Washu excited. It would be no problem for the number one genius in the universe to unbirth someone. Having Tenchi in her tummy would make Ayeka and Ryoko jealous as hell, and Washu loved to make the two girls jealous of her lovely mature body.
