Lee stared out of the window in a state of shock. It certainly wasn't the world he knew. It seemed gloomy, but not dark; a yellowish light. The ground stretched away forever and the sky was..... just wrong. Pale and whitish with a sun too painful to look at. The landscape was utterly flat.... and blue! There was some strange vegetation of blue fibres half as tall as him like a vast blue cornfield. And terrible shapes loomed. A dark mountain,which didn't look right.
THOOM!
What was that? An earth tremor? So loud? He felt it in his bones. Deep, booming, terrifying.
"Hide!" a voice hissed.
What?
It was terrified, urgent. From somewhere nearby and hidden.
"Please for the love of god hide!"
THOOM!
He looked at the top part of the window, and what he'd thought to be a blind or curtain. No.... It was off-white and.... smelled! Stale, like cheese! It was of course ropelike fibre and as he looked up it seemed draped over the whole house.... What?
"Please..." the mystery women begged, " Hide! She's coming. Pleasee please hide. She'll get you!"
