The food court was on the opposite side of the mall, but John figured it would be the most interesting place to start growing someone. He walked through the mall at a brisk pace, arriving at the food court in less than ten minutes. The dinner rush had started to die down, but most of the tables still had groups seated at them. "Hmm, picking someone to test this gun on would be a little difficult, but after a few minutes of staring, he had narrowed it down to three groups.
The first was a pair of young teenage boys who were sitting at a table towards the back corner. One was a meerkat, very slender with shaggy dark-brown hair and deep brown eyes, who couldn't have been more than fourteen years old. He wore a tight-fitting teal t-shirt with a large pink diagonal stripe and even tighter brown corduroy pants. Across from him was a lynx with greyish-blue fur, slightly taller and more built than the meerkat, perhaps a year or two older, wearing a wire-frame pair of glasses and a form-fitting black polo shirt with jeans. John couldn't quite tell if they were on a double date or just hanging out as friends, but they all seemed to be having a good time. One of the guys was a tall, charismatic kangaroo with a wide smile and a loud laugh, while the other one was a shorter and slightly less outgoing rabbit, who seemed to let his bigger friend drive most of the conversation with the group. Across from them sat the two girls, one a vixen wearing a tube top and a rather revealing skirt, and the other a more sensibly-dressed ferretess. This group seemed to get along well with each other, and would comment on other furs as they passed by, cracking each other up with jokes and observations.
The final furs that John had his eye on was a pair of tiger cubs, both around 8 or 9 years old, who were running around chasing each other while their mother sat at a nearby table chatting with a friend. These two looked nearly identical to each other, and John guessed that they were twins. Watching them for several minutes, John was surprised by the level of energy they were able to keep up, and guessed that they must be a handful for their mother.
After thinking for a moment, John finally makes his decision, walking up to and aiming his gun at...
