Go to the ocean on your own

You however new how tricky mermaids could be so decided however docile she might appear to be not to trust her. So instead on your own you wandered over to the small beach that existed on the south side of your Island harem. It was a lovely clear night with a full moon giving great visibility. You carefully removed your fine garments and placed them safely in a small sheltered alcove just made for that purpose, then wandered naked into the gently lapping surf.

Once waist deep you paused for a moment to get up the nerve then lifted up the ugly amulet and dropped it over your head. Moments latter you felt a strange tingling sensation as the magic started to work.
