Jason pulls his rugby shirt out of his waistband, in an effort to relieve the pressure a little. It helps, but what he really needs is up in his dorm room - a mammoth pair of rugby pants! He bounces up the stairs, inspired at the idea of being bigger.
"You'll need these," his Grandma had said, giving them to him when she and Grandpa dropped by the campus during Frosh Week. "Mark my words. You are the spitting image of your late uncle - God bless him - and he really enjoyed university. If you need anything, just ask. We'll expect you for a meal in a few weeks."
"Thanks, Grandma," he'd said at the time, but when he opened up the rugby pants in his room later, and discovered that they were a 2XL (and he was only wearing a large), he'd just buried them in the back of the closet. Now he remembered them, and the big shirt Grandma and Grandpa had mailed him last week, and pulled out the pair of garments.
They were generous, but not ridiculous, and the drawstring on the elastic waist would keep them up (for now). He put his hands in the pockets of the rugby pants ... and found a note. In his Grandpa's handwriting, it read, "If you're putting these on for the first time, you're overdue for dinner with us! Call us soon. In the meantime, use the enclosed with our blessing."
