Kevin decided the park would be the best place to go next. He walked past the pool and saw the kids playing in the park. He saw a few kids playing on a jungle gym. A few others going down a slide. And a small group playing tag. Each kid looked like a good candidate. It was hard for Kevin to choose.
Then, Kevin looked on the far side of the park. A heavyset kid, probably the biggest kid at the park, sat alone, eating lunch. He was probably no older than 10. The kid watched as everyone else at the park seemed to be having fun, except for him. He was too fat to play tag; he would be out of breath pretty quick. He had tried playing on the slide once before, but he had gotten stuck and someone had to call the fire department to cut him out. That was the most embarrassing day of his life.
Of course, Kevin didn't know anything about all this; he simply saw a lonely kid he thought he could help. He concentrated for a moment, then watched as the kid transformed before his eyes.
First, the young boy's fat seemed to melt away, being replaced by solid muscle. Over the next minute or so, Kevin watched as the boy became bodybuilder-sized. It was impressive, but Kevin wasn't done yet.
Next, Kevin made the boy about six inches taller than he was. Before, he was a short, overweight kid. Now, he was being transformed into a mini-Hulk. Kevin made sure that to everyone else at the park and, for good measure, everyone else in the kid's life, that the boy had always been that size. No need to cause a panic caused by a growing child.
Finally, Kevin decided to give the kid a lot of strength. After all, if he wasn't satisfied, Kevin could always take it away later. Over the next few minutes, the young boy transformed again, from having massive muscles like a professional bodybuilder, to having huge, powerful muscles like a Strongman Competitor.
Kevin decided to walk a little closer, to get a better look at his creation. He sat down a few dozen yards from where the kid was sitting. The young boy now had wide shoulders and massive arms. He looked powerful enough to lift the merry-go-round out of the ground, it seemed. He was a shorter version of Superman, Kevin thought to himself. He was now the biggest kid at the playground. Well, he was before, too, but this time, he was by far the strongest kid there.
"Hey, Mike!" another kid yelled out. The massive kid looks up from his lunch, waving a hand in the air. "Can you help us out over here?" With a smile, Mike stands up, putting his lunch back in his paper sack. He strides over to the merry-go-round and makes sure the other kids are holding on to something. The kid that had wanted his help looked up at Mike in awe.
"The two look very similar," Kevin thinks to himself. "Maybe they're brothers."
Mike grabs a bar on the merry-go-round and takes off running, spinning it in the process. He lets go and watches as it continues spinning. In fact, after a while, everyone in the vicinity watches, as it continues spinning for nearly three minutes.
Mike laughs and goes back to finish his lunch.
Kevin watched the whole thing and was proud of what he did. He took a shy kid, who probably had no self-confidence and turned him into the most popular guy there. He was probably the most popular kid at school now, too. The kid didn't seem to be a bully; in fact, he seemed to be just the opposite, as a few minutes later, Mike scared away a larger kid who was picking on a much smaller kid. He even took the smaller kid over to where he was sitting and gave him a part of his lunch.
Kevin smiled. Mission accomplished. But what does he do now?
