Shikamaru got assigned another mission, that to him was boring. Since becoming a chuunin, he has had to teach the academy children. So his mission was to go to the Sand Village and see how they were teaching their students and to see the future shinobi from there. The only positive part of the whole thing was that he would get to see that girl he fought at the chuunin exam, Temari. After she saved him the last time they met, she had become an academy teacher as well. So Shikamaru set off. By the next day, he had reached the Sand Village and was meeting Temari at their academy. He meets her there and they quickly catch up and begin to talk about the students. After talking about it for awhile Shikamaru says that he needs to find a place to stay for a few days until he needs to go back. Temari offers him to stay at her place, but he refuses. He says that he doesn't want to impose and besides, he has money from the village for a room. Temari agrees, but she wants to take him to a local hotel. Shikamaru agrees and they walk there together. After awhile of walking, Shikamaru starts to feel funny, but they keep walking. As they continue, Shikamaru thinks things are getting bigger, but he shrugs it off. That was a big mistake, because within a minute he passed out.
