She had entered into some kind of entrance hall. marble columns lined either side. At the end was a grand staircase, slightly dusty, but looking ever so sturdy. The floor was made of some sort of crystal that had a rose embedded in it. Off to the left was a green couch, presumably for guests. To the right was a dark brown oak door. Above she can see a chandler with candles in it, there is a rope connecting it to a metal bracket on the wall next to the couch so it can be brought down. Anna considers what she knows about the place. It is not much. In school, her classes had been learning about some of the towns history. About 175 years ago, the land was bought by Gideon McGowan who had the mansion constructed. 5 years later, he married his beloved Agnes. The two of them had 3 children of unknown names. One of them had a child. Nothing else was known except just over 105 years ago the house was know for having a grand garden. And by 100 years ago, none of them was alive anymore. Anna wonders if there are any evidence of what happened in the house somewhere. Where should she start to look?
