She was pretty tall for a girl, as tall as you actually, and from little internet searches on your fantasies you found that most tall girls would actually like to lose some height, not get even taller
"but why? I mean you're so tall already"
"I know I'm tall, but there are girls taller than me and their height allows them to be better athletes" she explained "I'm very competitive, and in order to be the best I need to try out ways to become taller, better, more powerful"
"I see" you answered, losing interest a bit. This ultra competitive side of sports was just not something you were into.. "but can you actually get taller? how would you achieve that?"
"At first I tried those things you see online about stretching exercises and stuff, but they weren't working for me so now I'm a participant on experimental treatments that can encourage growth"
"You mean like drugs? Wouldn't that get you disqualified from competitions?" You asked understanding this girl less and less. Sure you admired her tenacity and would love to see her getting taller than you, but it was all a bit scary, and probably not smart either
"Probably, but I have to take the risk if I want to achieve my dreams. I will also make money from participating in the trials and I'm young, even if I get disqualified for a couple of years, if it works then I'll be back keeping my height" she grinned
"It all sounds a bit.. dangerous" you tried to use a soft word for what you were actually thinking, even if you really wanted her to succeed
"Maybe, yeah ... so tell me about yourself, You are tall too but I can tell you don't do much sports haha" she teased
The small talk continued and died when you found out you didn't have much in common, you weren't into sports, and she didn't know anything about RPGs or your other interests, saying she wasn't creative or smart enough to get into that
The conversation ended in friendly terms, though you doubt you would talk often again, not having a lot to say and with you not wanting to be a creep and know more about whatever experimental trials she got into, that sounded like personal stuff
