You blink for a moment. She is talking with Greg who, being 16 and athletic, has been taller than his big sister for nearly a year now. When you arrive they seem a little too eager to stop their conversation, as if they wouldn't want you to know the subject. But what concerns you is that Greg is used to be at list 4 inches taller than Jenny, standing at 5'9 (1m75) while his sister stopped her growing a few months ago at 5'5 (1m65). Soooo... she's supposed to be nose level with him. Not almost as tall.
No, you think. You're surely mistaken. Greg must be slouching. She may not be totally flat on her feet. And, above all, you might be tired.
"What is it, Dad ?" she asks again.
"Nothing sweetheart. Just wanted to see if everything was alright."
You leave the room, but, from the corner of your eye, you're sure that you've seen the two siblings discussing between them, eyeing you, making sure you don't hear what they're saying. What is going on with these two ?
