You did not like the sound of rooming with high school freshman. Sure, you understand that you need to stay somewhere, but from what you know about yourself, fourteen-year-olds can be rowdy at times. At this size, you fear that even the smallest bit of roughhousing can cause you serious harm. As you near a room where you hear the loud yapping of two giant anthros, you quickly get the ocelot's attention by jumping up and down on his padded palm.
"Is there a problem, Evan? I was just about to introduce you to your roomates."
"It's just that I am just getting used to this whole idea of rooming with giant anthros, and I'm nervous. Are you sure that it's safe?"
The ocelot let out a hearty laugh, causing you to lose your balance and fall flat on his palm. Picking yourself up, the administrator explains that there is nothing to worry about. "Of course we didn't choose just any students to be your roomates. These two are star pupils; they were on the honor roll in junior high and have very many hours of community service between them. Here, I'll let you see for yourself what they are like."
Turning a door knob larger than any water tower you have seen, the ocelot opens the door and walks in. The talking you heard instantly stops, and two hulking behemoths get out of their chairs and walk towards you. As impossible as it may seem, you realize that the ocelot holding you is actually pretty short as far as anthros go, since the teenagers are both about a head taller than him.
The first student was a huge anthro canine, with grey fur specked with red and an athlete's build. After he extends a fingerpad many times your height, you shake the wolf's hand.
"Hi, you must be Evan. I'm Windsor Timbers, but you can just call me Windy." The timber wolf attempted a friendly smile, but the glistening house-sized fangs made you even more nervous than you already were. Apparantly, Windy noticed this, and quickly removed his teeth from your view.
The other student was a reptilian, with silvered horns and claws and covered in goldish colored scales. He is also wearing glasses, and you note that the lenses are thicker than you are tall. You shake his incredibly sharp index claw, and the gold dragon speaks.
"It is good to meet you, human. I'm Gregor, by the way." Unexpectedly, Gregor reaches a bit farther and wraps his huge fingers around you. You are then carefully carried into the dragon's golden palm, easily the size of two football fields.
"You boys should spend this time getting to know each other," says the ocelot. "Remember that the other students will show up tomorrow, and class begin the next day, Monday."
When the ocelot left the room, you half expected yourself to be ripped to pieces by your roomates. But of course this does not happen; both the tremendous timber wolf and the gigantic golden dragon continue to treat you respectfully. The two look at you standing in the dragon's hand, and you can tell by their looks that they are just as amazed at how tiny you are as you are astounded by their enormity. Windy is the first to speak up.
