Chapter #4Everyone's Invited by: Flangies Ayla, the jet black jackal goddess of Earth, rose from her throne overlooking mankind. Your floating body rose with her, always staying level with her face. At six hundred miles, she was definitely a sight to behold, dressed only in an ethereal robe and more jewelry than you thought could be made with Earth's resources. Placing the sceptre against her throne, which was many times taller than any mountain, your goddess brought her free hand forth, summoning forth a huge flat surface out of nowhere. You gaze in amazement as Ayla performs her magic; she apparently has the ability to create objects.
Holding the surface like a silver platter, the jackal next thrust it into the air. Immediately multicolored dust rises from every corner of the planet, gathering in a coat on the platter. You see some of the dust pass by you and recognize them as people; Ayla is bringing everyone on Earth to her. You even see a little golden dust rise from the ring/temple on her massive finger.
You can only imagine what it must be like, having everyone in the world bowing down to Ayla and you. "My beloved people, let us begin the festivities!" cries the goddess to her subjects. "We shall start with a great feast, with plenty of food for all."
The surface of the silver platter changes, but at your distance you cannot tell by sight. However, as a chair pops up under you and a table appears in front of you piled high with every kind of food imaginable, you must think that everyone else is receiving the same treatment.
When you had first seen what was going on, you had assumed that Ayla was a demanding goddess, expecting loyalty and servitude from all of her human followers. Now you realize that this is clearly not the case. Ayla is turning out to be incredibly generous and caring to all of mankind, and probably wouldn't even hurt a fly, even if she could fit a small country in her paw. Humanity worships this jackal goddess and is completely devoted to her only because she truly deserves it.
As you eat your meal, you realize that no matter how much you eat, the piles of food do not grow smaller. Apparently, in this new world you have woken up in, world hunger is unheard of. You imagine that Ayla has also prevented the existence of many more of your previous life's evils, like war or disease. You start to feel very fortunate right now that this odd life switch occurred.
When everyone finished eating, all of the food disappeared. You think that the celebration is over, but it turns out that it is far from over. In fact, Ayla announces how long your celebration will last. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
