Christie, it seemed, wouldn't be able to form words for the time being. It was another voice that broke the intervening silence. "Damn. If that's eating a little too much, I'd hate to see what you think is way too much."
Holly turned her head slightly to see the owner of the voice, Jane. The redhead was the closest of the three to the traditional feminine beauty standard; curvier than petite Christie, but nowhere near as big as obese Holly. Jane was wearing a tank top that revealed some cleavage, and also revealed that her middle had some pudge on it. She also had on a skirt that fell down to her lower thighs, and sandals. While she was wearing her usual lackadaisical expression, there was also a note of surprise in her joke.
Christie, meanwhile, was finally pulling herself together. The small brunette had on a skirt that fell down over her knees, and a shirt that was clearly too big for her. This was Christie's usual way of dressing, trying to make herself look as small as possible. The shy girl didn't really want to interact with anyone she didn't already know; doing so stressed her out. "Are... are you okay now?" Christie asked.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine," Holly replied, still looking at Jane. "So... uh, nice of you to stop by, Jane."
Jane shrugged, and answered "Christie was worried about you. Plus, I have to admit I was kind of curious. You don't get stomachaches often." As she said this, Jane's eyes briefly wandered down to Holly's bloated midsection. "So, uh, are we going to stand out here, or...?"
"Oh, sorry. Come in, come in!" Holly said, gesturing for them to follow her and making her heavy way back to the living room. As she walked, she mulled over what to do next. If it had been just Christie that came over, Holly would have told her immediately what had happened at school. But now that Jane was here, should she? Jane was cool enough to hang out with, but Holly hadn't really spent enough time with her to really get to know the redhead. On the other hand, she'd managed to befriend Christie, and it was rare for Christie to come out of her shell to anyone.
As the three settled on various couches and chairs in the living room, Holly made up her mind.
