Chapter #5

To hell with waiting!

    by: Unknown
"Urgh... man I suck at this!" Izz cried, watching her sister decimate her for the umpteenth time that night, "How in the hell are you so good at this...?"

"I-I'm just... experienced, I guess?" Emily smiled sheepishly, tapping her fingers on the little steering-wheel shaped controller, "But you're getting better! Look, seventh overall!"

"Yeah, compared to your five consecutive wins..." Izz managed a chuckle, "B-but still! This was... kinda fun, Em. I wish I could do this some more..."

"Well, why can'tcha?" Em adjusted her glasses, looking confused, "I mean, you're not going anywhere, are you?"

"Well no, but..." Izz hesitated, really wanting her parents to come home soon, so she could get this weight off of her chest. However, her sister's comically huge eyes continued to stare at her, this time looking concerned.

"Something's wrong, isn't there?"

"Whaat? Noo..." Izz averted her gaze and breaking out into another snide chuckle, "Wh-what makes you think-"

"Oh gosh, there is!" Emily gasped, already breaking out into tears, "I-I thought something was weird the moment you got home! Y-you didn't call me anything nasty, a-and you wanted to play video games, and-"

"Alright, quit it!" Izz yelled, silencing her sister almost instantly, "I didn't tell you cause I wanted to tell the parents first, alright?!"

"B-but you've been holding that in all this time, and I couldn't help in some way?" tears began streaming from the fourteen year old's eyes, "D-do you need anything? Do you need blood? Organs?! I mean, I kinda like mine, b-but if you really need them, you can have them sis... I-I don't mind..."

And unable to prevent it, Izz found herself throwing her arms around her little sister, "Ohh, you silly thing, come here..."

Overwhelmed with guilt over something that should've been avoided - if only her damn parents were home - the older girl sighed, "Listen Em, I... have to tell you something."

Still sobbing gently into her shoulder, Emily mumbled a "hmm?"

"...so, long story short, I'm gonna keep shrinking til I just cease to exist." Izz explained to her ashen faced sister, "Fun, huh?"

"You... what?!" Emily shrieked, stunned beyond disbelief, "I-is that even possible?! I mean, how the hell are you just gonna 'cease to exist'?!"

"I'll eventually just... get so small that people won't notice me... I guess..."

"B-but I..." Em wailed, "Isn't there something that can be done about this?! I mean, there's gotta be a cure, right?!"

"...apparently not." Izz began shaking violently, unable to bear things any longer, "Y...y'see why I wanted... t-to tell Mom and Dad first?"

Her face screwed up, and tears finally burst from their corneal prisons, "I'm so sorry I was so mean to you, Em!"

"Ohh, it's okay Izz, don't worry about it...!" Emily tried to smile, holding her sister's head to her shoulder and stroking the girl's hair, "I've been called much worse, and - hey, what the?"

"What what?" Izz mumbled, lifting her head from Emily's shoulder, "What's wrong?"

You have the following choices:

1. "Your clothes look kinda baggy..."

*Pen*
2. "Is that the door?"

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
