Chapter #5

About 14/15 years later...

    by: Unknown
The council decided to let him stay, so long as he never found out about his human heritage. They discovered early on the curse on the child and how it works. As the years went on, Winsur grew to be an immensely strong Prism Dragon, which explains his great magics. His white scales gleamed in the sunlight. One day, a man wearing unusual clothes comes and says he is here specifically for Winsur. ( actually it's a black suit jacket with yellow rings on the sleeves near his hands, black suit pants with yellow rings near the bottom, a plain yellow t-shirt, and a black fedora with a yellow ring round the base, not the rim)

"Yes?" Winsur asked the man, who was standing in the entrance to his quarters. "What can I help you with?" Winsur was raised to be cautious of everyone but not to let it show.

"So, you are Winsur, the Prism Dragon? I was expecting someone taller," the man said with a laugh. "I am Sarion, and I am a Storm Dragon." This comment did not surprise Winsur much, as he had been taught some dragons could take on human forms and a few other animals.

Explanation - Due to odd weather conditions around the world, there have come to be four main dragon kinds - Prism, Storm, Rainforest, and Thermal.

Prism Dragons can withstand freezing temperatures and their eyesight cannot be affected in any way. They are white-scaled with light-blue eyes and breathe Ice. Prism Dragons are very defensive of their possesions, territory, young, and are the most intelligent of all dragons.

Storm Dragons have excellent night vision and are mostly unaffected by changes in temperature. They are perfectly balanced: intelligent, great flyers, strong. They are black-scaled with yellow eyes and breathe electricity. Storm Dragons appear demonic, but are usually docile by nature. They are the fastest of all dragons.

While Rainforest Dragons can fly, they prefer to burrow underground or swim in the ocean to catch their meals. They are green-scaled with dark-blue eyes and breathe jets of water. Rainforest Dragons are sensitive to drastic changes in temperature and are the brawniest of all dragons.

Thermal Dragons are fierce in a fight, and can withstand to live in hot places like deserts, but they do not prefer it. They are graey-scaled with red eyes and breathe fire. Thermal Dragons can sense if another live being is near by the creature's heat signature and are the best flyers of all dragons.

"I need your help. Prism Dragons are scarce these days, and I need one's help to take down the Driew (greater demon) Isriselda, otherwise known as your mother!!!

Sarion tells why he was born, the curse, who his father Bowhan is (still slaying monsters with a newfound hatred), that Isriselda threatens to destroy the Balance, and how only Prism Dragons can kill Driews.

"Even if you are half-human, you can still kill her," Sarion explains. "Firenor (Thermal Dragon) is waiting outside in the woods. What will it be?"

Winsur is frozen with shock. A million questions went through his head. The trance was broken when Sarion asked, "So, will you help me kill your mother, who has no love for you or any other creature in this world, who will not hesitate to strike us down?!"

Winsur answers...
