The phoenix girl

Bowhan's words woke the child and she crawled out of its blankets and saw her father. She tried to call after her father and even tried to follow him, but with her weak legs she simply stummbled and fell. The little phoenix chick cried after her father hoping he would come back, but he never did.

The little phoenix curled up on the blanket she had been wrapped in and sniffed the smell of her father and cried softly into its sheets.

Now sixteen years later the phoenix has grown into a majestic bird nearly twenty feet tall and with a fourty foot wing span that alowed it to sore the skies effortlessly. She had the memory of a phoenix and remembered everything that had happened since she had first opened her eyes and seen her father. She still sought him and contact from other humans hoping to find her father and knowing that he would welcome her with open arms.

At the moment she had just finished hunting and was flying over the forest thinking about what it would be like when she found her father. When she...
