Left Alone

He continued to walk away, feeling the small Kraken hug tighter as he neared land until with a moment of fury he turned around and tore his child off his leg making it cry out in fear as its father threw it far into the sea before running back to shore. He stopped for a few moments as he heard the child's anguished cries before assuring himself of the monster it was. He ran as far away from that shore as he possibly could as his child watched him leave. It's cries becoming more inhuman as her father left, transforming it into a full Kraken hatchling. It sank into the bleak waves, finding a crack in the sea floor which it pushed itself into to avoid predators as it contiued to cry.
