Brianna's big brown eyes darted up and down the pages excitedly. Each leathery, worn-out page had rows of symbols and glyphs which she couldn't read. But the abstract sketches of voluptuous females were easy to translate. Brianna shut the jewel-encrusted book and crept back into her car. Her sandaled toe hit the accelerator, and the car sped off...
A few hours later, Brianna was reclining on a chair in her friend Brittany's living room. Brittany's house was empty except for the two of them. The TV was on, and both girls were watching American Idol as the sun went down.
"I think that girl's ugly." Brittany curled her lip in a sneer. "I know all those guys in the audience holds up signs saying 'she's sexy', but she's REALLY not." A bag of cheetos rested on her lap, and she lifted a handful of them into her gaping mouth.
"She's not ugly, you mean bitch!" Brianna giggled. She knew Brittany didn't mean what she was saying. Even though she was a skinny blond girl, Brittany wasn't judgmental.
"She's fat and ugly." Brittany licked her fingers and reached for more cheetos.
"Keep eating like that, and you'll be fat too."
"Shut up!" Brittany tried not to laugh, since her mouth was still full. Brianna didn't really believe what she said. Ever since they'd met, Brittany loved food. But she could eat whatever she wanted and still stay thin. Well, tonight was going to fix that...
"Have you ever thought about being really fat?"
Brittany kept on eating and staring at the screen. She didn't seem to hear her. "Sorry...what?"
Brianna glanced over her should at the floor. The glittering magic book was poking out of her rumpled bookbag. She reached down and picked it up. "Which would you rather have...fat stomach or a fat butt?"
