This choice: his girlfriend was waiting for him.... • Go Back...Chapter #4his girlfriend was waiting for him.... by: Unknown "Dave!" Said a curvaceous raven-haired girl who barely stood at 5' 3", a stark contrast from David's 5'10" wide framed body. He waved over to the small girl as she trotted over, wearing a hoody and a pair of low-cut jeans, just low enough so you could see the very bottom of her back if she bent over to show off her admittedly well-shaped ass. Dave wore cargo shorts and an open button-up over a T-shirt today, rather generic but acceptable clothes for some one who knew so much about the real world.
"Hey, Selina." David smiled, always happy to see her. She was two years younger but about a million years wiser, at least in the eyes of Dave. They met at a Starbucks last year, and got into a conversation about the novel Enders Game. While Dave saw it as an allegory for the horrors of war, Selina viewed it as a misogynistic piece of rubbish that worshiped Hitler. They had been dating ever since.
"Hey you." She said with a wry smile, "So, I was thinking Itallian?" She said, linking her tiny arm in his. She always was the forceful one.
"Itallian? I dunno...I kinda had a big dinner last night...And they say you should never have two big meals in two days." David said, which was partly true, namely the part about him having a big dinner last night. Two brewskis and a frozen meal, at least.
"Okay, one, nooooo one on Earth says that. Awww, can't Mr. Manly Man eat more than two big meals? You're never gonna survive Thanksgiving at my house at this rate!" Selina giggled, poking his hard stomach. This was going to be the big year, after all, meeting the parents and the supposed "monsters" that were three older brothers to Selina.
"I-I can too!" Dave protested, dropping the know-it-all act for a minute. He hated it when she challenged his manliness like that!
"Then prove it." She giggled again, pointing her thumb at the restraunt they stood in front of. Bella Dolla Itallian Bistro. To assert himself, he opened the door for her and followed her in, happily taking a seat near the back. Flirtations were had and light conversation sang, until the waiter came over.
"What can I do for you?" the man in about his 30s that stood about Dave's height with a little paunch and spectacles asked.
"W-Well..." Dave stammered, blushing as Selina seemed to give him a look{/} and a smirk to match. He looked down at the menu again. Lets see...Stick with what you know and get the light salad, or prove Selina wrong with the Tour of Italy... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
