While you are studying the mind switching Machine, Zach walks around the lab. He stops at a machine and pulls of the tarp and starts reading the notebook sitting on top of the machine.
"Holy shit!, this is a time machine. We could get rich!" Zach exclaims as he runs over towards you. "If we go back in time 10, 20 years or so, we could buy comic books that we know are going to be worth a lot of money today from the comic book store in the mall. Then we'll just go sell them back to them for a fortune!"
Stopping in your tracks, you realize Zack is right. That would be easy money.
Shaking your head in surprise, "That is actually super smart."
"We could go into the future to and see what comic books are worth and by the ones in the store today also," Zack says looking at the time machine note book. "It seems they've had trouble traveling into the future though, which doesn't make sense. It's like they stopped experimenting with it."
He hands you the note book as he starts adjusting dials and settings.
"Do you know what you are doing Zack? you ask as you start browsing through some of the warning in the scribbled into the notebook.
One warning about changing the existing timeline. It suggests the user of the time machine only had a certain amount of time after altering a timeline before your memories adjusted to the current timeline. It also warned that the time line seems to find ways of "healing" itself after certain minor paradoxes. What does that mean?
"Zack we should probably read more about this. There are a number of experiments listed in the back of this thing. I don't know what they were trying to do..." Before you could finish Zack flips a switch and the machine activates.
With a smile Zack says, "Easy money here we come! I've opened a portal to the ______"
