You think through your options for a moment. It's possible to start your own amateur business, but the only things you can think of sell are food and drink--a market that has already proven troublesome for your little gluttonous self. You consider tricking your mom into handing the cash. The idea is quickly dropped as soon as you remember the last time you tried to trick your mom. You're still scraping Yak off of your math book from that little misadventure

After careful evaluation, you decide that getting a job of your own--fast--is your best chance of getting out of this jam. You look through the classifieds to see if there is a lawn job somewhere or any other job that is qualified for a twelve-year old. Not much is offered, since you must be at least fifteen to work at any of the burger joints in the neighborhood, but you did find something that was promising.

In one ad the job is a weekend deal raking the fall leaves for what sounds like an elderly lady for a seventy-five dollar payday. However, the ad ends with "but there's a catch". Apparently, the lady didn't want to fork the cash for a longer ad.

The ad sounded strange, but seventy-five dollars is seventy-five dollars. Think of what you can do with an extra forty bucks. The least you can do is call about the job and see what this "catch" is and decline if it's too...too horrid.
