On their way away from the duel arena after the opening cerimony, Jaden decided that he would challange Alexis to a duel to see just how strong she had become over the holidays. Since Alexis did not know that her weight gaining curse was down to dueling she accepted, thinking it would take her mind off of the her problem.
The duel lasted a surprisingly long time, Alexis took a through beating in life points but she managed to raise them back up by 3000 part way through, but eventually the duel ended and she had lost. The curse didn't care that gaining the 2000 life points should in turn have made her lose 10lbs and then when she lost those 2000 she would regain it. No, as far as the curse was concerned she lost those 2000 on top of the basic 8000 meaning she lost a total of 10,000 life points during the duel and will gain 50lbs in fat. The two of them shook hands, congratulating each other on an excellent duel when suddenly Alexis felt a strange feeling in her gut...
