Miguel is a little bit on the skinny side, and he is a bit lighter skinned than you. But he's sort of cute in a nerdy sort of way. Something about his glasses make his hazel green eyes look especially large to Alexis. And, even though she is the tiny, six inch tall woman, and he is the giant, still there is something about the look in his eyes that make him seem the vulnerable one.
Miguel is standing behind his father, looking shyly at Alexis.
"My Miguel is the same age as your Alexis," the fat man begins, "But he is not very good about women. I think it will be a good arrangement. You will be provided for," he tells Alexis' parents, "Your daughter will be taken care of, and having a small wife will give my son the confidence of eventually marrying a regular wife."
Everyone seems amiable to this arrangement, though Miguel is too shy to say anything. As for Alexis, in the eyes of society, if not the law, she is so much chattel to be bargained for, so who cares what she thinks?
The paper is signed, and Alexis enters a lovely, well furnished traveling container as she is taken away from the only home she has ever known to her new marriage. Her first stop is
