Feeling someone's strong hoof-like hand grab her, she was placed inside a cage with a stone bottom and thick bamboo-like stems. Closing the bottom with the giant tree trunk, the giant native looked at her with an ice cold glare. She was a massive hippo; nowhere as large as the statue, but was very large in her own right. She wore leaves and tree trunks as a bra as her face was covered in blue paint. Worst of all, she wasn't alone. She was with other hippos, some smaller, some bigger and others her own size. They looked very angry at Krystal and Krystal begged for forgiveness. "Please, I'm sorry. I didn't want to steal your jewel. It beauty provoked me into stealing it." the vixen cried for mercy. Speaking to her fellow people in a strange language Krystal never heard before, the hippo who snatched her soon turned to face her again and spoke to her in a deep yet feminine voice, "Relax, strange creature, we will not harm you."
"You won't?" she asked. "We don't believe in punishment by violence, but we are angered by your attempt to steal our jewel. It is the resting place for our once all-powerful queen's spirit. Taking it would have meant to steal more than just a common ruby." she explained. "If you won't end my life, what will you do instead?" Krystal asked. "That is not up to us to decide. It is for our queen to decide what fate will be on your head." she said.
Bowing down with her people in front of the jewel, the ruby began to glow as if it was speaking. "We understand." she spoke. Turning back to Krystal, she said, "Our queen has spoken. She has decided to spare you any punishment only if you agree to do something." "What is it?" she asked. "She has said you must become one of us and live the rest of your life with us. If not, a terrible curse will descend upon you. What will be your answer?" she explained her ruler's instructions. Krystal thought about it and said, "...
