A puff of smoke came out of the room as Lilo opened the door. Jumba coughed as he waved the smoke out of his face. "I am guesink that the power cuplink wasn't polarized properly prior to neutrallization" Jumba Muttered as he tried to fan the fumes away from a mangled contraption.
"Jumba?" Lilo started "I need to ask you a few questions" she said sheepishly.
"Ah, Little Girl!" Jumba said "How can I be helpink you?".
"I was wondering about French Fry actually" She began as she twisted her foot on the floor "I was wondering why we got so bloated rather than fat when we ate his food".
"French Fry?" Jumba said puzzled "Oh! Oh yes, Experiment 062! Ah you and your name for my creations..." he chuckled. "Well 062 was never perfected... more of a weekend project to be honest" Jumba explained as he leaned back in his chair and looked up to better recall the whole ordeal. "I wanted to make an Experiment to be my personal Chef because I was not a very good at cookink myself, This was natually a bad idea I was having because not knowink how to cook it was difficult to create somethink that knew thinks I didn't. a heh heh" He mused.
"So what happened" Lilo asked wishing he would tell her what went wrong.
"Well not knowink how to cook I just downloaded the information 062 required from a galaxy wide data base, somewhat similar to your primitive world wide webbing" Jumba said dismissively "062 knew how to do it but had never experienced cooking, naturally he developed his own methods for goink about it. I never knew how he did it but he managed to make the food in such a way that it was releasink all the calories and fats instantaneously, those who ate the food would be filled with a mass quantity of empty calories at an abundant weight. The fat cells became a sort of balloon and got all puffy from the unnatural growth they were havink to go through".
"That.... doesn't make much sense actually..." Lilo trailed off unsure what it meant.
"I'm not quite sure my self little girl" Jumba admitted "The fat seemed to become filed with a substance lighter than air. It caused you to get bigger while slowly getting slightly lighter. I can only imagine the process was causink the fat to produce a bi-product that was very light and fluffy. As for the wantink to eat people... Well not all programs are perfect, one of the many bugs in his design was never identifying a proper food source. As a cook 062 developed the need to cook it's own meal and for ingredients 062 viewed it's victims as a helpless potential meal. So 062 would just fatten them up until they were helpless and then chow down. a heh heh heh" Jumba laughed as he hoped it would satisfy her curiosity.
"Oh..." Lilo said "So you just gave up and put him back in his pod?".
"Well I wanted to use 062 as a weapon like the others but it had no fighting capabilities, and his methods were so slow, he could only handle a small handful of people at a time and it would take several days of fattening them to be done. He wasn't a very effective weapon." Jumba said "I had created a revision of his program to fix the strange way of making the food and eating people, I was thinking of makink 062 a weapon that would flood the planets market with fattenink foods and making the population to obese to resist an invasion but never managed to test it. After the incident in my lab I was worried installink the new program and reactivatink 062 could cause it to make foods I could not resist. The new program was like the others in makink sure the experiment would not turn on me but as long as 062 was active it would make fattenink foods regardless of the situation since it wasn't forcink them on me. I would naturally get hooked on them again since I would be unable to resist the foods he was to be makink." Jumba said smiling.
Lilo stood there silent for a few moments thinking. "but this new program would fix everything except French Fry's need to fatten?" Lilo said hopefully.
"Well yes I am supposink" Jumba said thinking. Jumba turned to his computer and began typing. "I guess I didn't save it here" He said before turning around and digging through a drawer.
"Oh... I see Lilo said disappointed and began to turn to leave.
"Here we are going!" Jumba exclaimed. Lilo turned to see Jumba holding a small blue pill labeled "062 Version 1.1".
"What is it?" Lilo said starting to feel hopeful again.
"It is the new programink for 062" Jumba explained "if 062 took this pill he would be rebootink with the new data".
Lilo reached up and picked up the pill, "So I could go give him this pill and he would be fixed?" Lilo said with glee.
"Well I was thinkink he was fixed little girl" Jumba said not sure what she meant "if you are givink 062 that pill it will revert to trying to fatten people up. The new program would make 062 hate healthy foods and turn him back into his old self but with the revised updates. No longer so easily turned to this good you keep doink to my experiments."
"Oh! Oh of course!" Lilo almost squealed unable to contain her excitement "We wouldn't want that at all!"
"Well of course not!" Jumba said turning back to his work "Just put that pill back when your done lookink at it."
"s-sure" Lilo said opening the drawer and tapping the bottom with the pill to make it sound like it was dropped in. "well I'll just be going then" She said Shyly as she crept out still holding the pill.
"Uh-huh" Jumba muttered deep in his work again.
Lilo rushed down stairs "Stitch! Stiiiitch!" She called.
"Your little blue monster isn't here" Nani called from the kitchen "He's down on the beach terrorizing Seagulls again I think".
"Oh ok I'll go meet him there!" Lilo called as she rushed out the Door.
