"Hey, look at that..."
You looked up to see yourself still in the jar, but on a flat wooden surface. But, you got the feeling that you're being watched...
"Hey, don't tap that! Keep your hands to yourself."
"Are they some sort of bug?"
You looked around to see yourself surrounded by eleven giants, all looking down at you.
"I dunno," you hear Chad's voice amongst the crowd. "At first, I thought they were ants, but when I looked at them in the jar, they didn't look like any ant I've seen."
A hand picked up the jar and you met a pair of massive blue eyes. "You're right bro. Dunno what they are, but they kinda look like...little people."
"Really, cool! Where'd you find them, Chad?"
"By the fridge in the kitchen."
"Whoa, to think we had little dudes living among us the whole time. Maybe I should watch my step next time..."
The jock who held the jar returned it to the tabletop, making as little of an impact as possible. "So, that's cool and all, but what'll we do with them?"
Chad scratched his chin. "Dunno. I don't wanna let them go. They could get eaten by some larger bug. And...they might be cool to have around."
"Have around? Like, take care of them?"
"Exactly."
"So, just feed and clean up after them? Guess we've gotta keep the jar in a safe place..."
"They're not living in that jar. They need a bigger place than that..."
"I think I have a tank or something lying around, we could use that."
"Hell yeah! Then we'll give 'em someplace to sleep, some food, water...this'll be awesome!"
Chad smiled. "Well, we're all in this, boys. Let's give 'em a good home!"
Thunder echoes through the room as all the guys slap their hands together and cheer. Then, all of them disappear from sight. But, you could still hear them coordinate their work.
"Think we can attach this here?"
"That's too high. They'll never reach it."
"Can you make it lower?"
"Hell yeah I can!"
"Try and wash everything, boys."
"That looks fun. Let's put it in there..."
"Great idea, Blake. I'm sure as hell they'll enjoy that!"
You put your hands on the glass of the jar. It's a disheartening thought that you're all caught and must live like some sort of pet. And yet, you couldn't help but smile. "They want the best for us," you thought to yourself. "Hopefully, enough for us to get back on our feet."
You heard footsteps heading towards you. "I hope...we'll be safe around them..."
With that, Chad's hand took the jar and held to close to his face, beaming smile on his lips. "Ready to check out your new home, little guys?" With jar in hand, he carried you away...
