My best friend, who grows taller and more muscular

It all started the week after Andy's 13th birthday. He asked for a bunch of cool new video games and I spent the weekend at his house playing video games. He really didn't care for a party or anything so we just ate at MacDonald's and we headed to the video game store afterwards where he spent all his gift money on the newest games for his Xbox.

My name is Jake and and I'm 13 years old, just like Andy. We both play soccer and we're both computer geeks and video game nerds in school. Neither of us are very big or strong or athletic, we're just very average. We're exactly the same height, at 5 ft 4 inches and about 150 pounds. We're skinny and short and we really don't stand out in school or on the soccer field.

The only difference between us is the fact that I have blond hair and Andy has jet black hair.

When Andy woke up the following morning, I was already playing HALO on his Xbox. He stumbled into the bathroom to brush his teeth, wearing only his shorts. When he came out and stood next to where I was sitting on the carpeted floor in his bedroom, I already noticed something weird about him.

His abs seemed a little more defined compared to the previous night, and his pectorals appeared a little bigger. Had he become more muscular overnight?

I ignored it and waited for him to sit down. As he plopped down next to me and grabbed the game controller, I also noticed that his biceps bulged a little. What was going on?
