Chapter #27The Anticipation of Your First Time by: Seuzz Justin's suggestion would meet almost every dream you could have for the evening. It's so awesome you briefly wonder if there's a catch hidden in it somewhere. But you grab it before you can have any serious doubts. "Can I call Caleb, bring him out to help, put him in the mask of -- " You swallow. "Of Jessica?"
"Sure, that's probably a good idea," says Justin. He grins in a way that you've never seen Eva Garner grin before. "Just don't get distracted. You're supposed to be finishing some of these masks."
You assure him you'll keep your mind on the job, though you're far from sure you'll be able to do that. Just having Eva's body in close proximity to yours is intoxicating, and the sense of availability gives it an attraction about a thousand times more powerful than you've felt around the real girl.

Caleb will be free within an hour to join you at Justin's place, and you'll use his car to get out to Kelsey's after you're ready to attempt the job. Meanwhile, Justin assures you that Manuel won't be in the way. "We talked him into going along with some of his friends on a weekend road trip," he tells you. "That's why we were able to plan for an overnight party tonight. He even joked about us having some girls over," he adds with a laugh.
That's what he tells you at his house, after he's changed out of Eva's mask but before he's put on yours. Even though Eva's body is not his -- and even though you'll be inside it soon enough -- he insisted on taking it off out of your sight, in the bathroom. While waiting, you sat on the sofa, rubbing your sweaty palms on the knees of your pants.
It's funny that you're so excited. Now that the moment is almost upon you have the concentration moment to reflect on how funny it is. Up until now you'd been exploring the masks almost as a science project: figuring out what each spell does and how to progress to the next one. As for the masks themselves, you'd been thinking about them as a device for making trouble for Mansfield, or for taking a sideways step away from your life by inhabiting the life of someone else briefly. Even when Caleb had suggested copying the Garner girls you were mostly thinking about using them as a way of getting close to Kelsey. When Caleb had suggested other kinds of "fun" with them, you had ragged him mercilessly. But as you'd gotten closer to this moment --
You wipe the back of your hand against your mouth, and it comes away a little wet.
You've never been close to a naked girl. You don't think of yourself as a virgin, not since you got that fumbling blowjob almost a year ago at a summer camp from a girl whose name you now don't even remember clearly. But you and she had kept your clothes on the whole time. As for Lisa, there was no question of getting naked with her. And though you did fantasize about her over the summer, even those fantasies were rather chaste. It suddenly occurs to you that maybe you always knew that you and she were never destined to be together, since even in your dreams she would never give herself to you.
There's even less question of Eva Garner giving herself to you, but somehow that makes it more exciting. Even now you flinch a little at the thought of exploring Lisa's body from the inside -- such an invasion of her privacy. But Eva and Jessica -- though they treat you decently at school -- aren't friends the same way Lisa was, or could have been. In a sense, you're secretly getting back at them for not treating you with more respect.
You were jerked out of these thoughts -- how long were you zoning out? -- by the opening of the bathroom door. Justin comes out, looking a little groggy and with his hair disordered. He's clad only in a pair of boxers. Everything else -- Eva's mask, and the clothes that Connor had bought this morning for the disguises -- is bundled up in his arms. He drops them wordlessly into your lap, scoops up the "Will Prescott" mask, and snaps his fingers. You realize that he's telling you to get out of your clothes. You do so, and after he's gone into the bedroom to complete the transformation, you fetch a towel from the bathroom to cover yourself as you sit cross-legged. The mask covers your erection.
The anticipation is terrific, but it feels so good that you don't want to end it quite yet, so you sit there in that state of tense expectation while waiting for a new Will Prescott to come out of Justin's bedroom. You decide you'll wait until Caleb gets here to change into Eva. In the meantime -- You look around for the bag containing the mask you need to finish, but it's out of reach, and you don't want to disturb what you've got so nicely arranged in your lap.
Justin didn't tell you anything about the clothes that Connor had bought, though they seem like clothes you've seen the Garners in, so he and Justin must have used the memories they found inside the masks as a guide. There is some plain feminine underwear and a bra; some jeans shorts; a short-sleeve, floral-patterned blouse; and some cheap flip-flops. In other words, clothes for a day when a girl wants to let her toned and beautiful body do the work of looking good.
You close your eyes and put your head back. You drift off into a little fantasy about what the clothes will feel like when you've got the parts that fit inside them.
You're still inside that fantasy when -- again -- a door jerks open. Now it's the bedroom door, and it's a Will Prescott who comes out.
His eyes narrow at the sight of you, and he resettles the cap on his head. "You doing a slow-motion cum on those things?"
"I'm gonna wait for Caleb to show up."
"You're gonna look like a real dork if Manuel comes in while you're sitting like that."
"You said he was out of town!"
"Sure, but who knows?" He cocks his head. "You got a favorite excuse you want me to try out on your dad?"
"Can't you think of one?"
"Two heads are better than one."
Maybe, but it seems like an impossible task, and you're sorely distracted. "Do the best you can."
He rolls his eyes. "Same goes for you. You should really get to work."
"Hand me the stuff, will you." You reach ineffectually for the bag.
"Jesus." With one more roll of his eyes he hands you the stuff, then takes his skinny ass out the door. You wait until you hear the roar of your truck motor before digging out the work that you've promised to finish.
And after you turn your attention to it, you find it oddly absorbing, so that you lose track of the time, your previous fantasies, and a sense of the awkwardness of your position.
* * * * *
You're not far from being finished with that metal band when a hard rap at the door jerks you back to an awareness of your position. When there's another rap, your heart gives an answering knock of your own, and gingerly you lay aside Eva's clothes and your own work, and with the towel clutched to your waist you creep over to the front door. There's no spy hole in it, so you open it a crack and peer out.
It's Caleb. "Jesus, man, get in here," you say, and open the door just wide enough and long enough to pull him inside. The towels slips from around your waist.
"Aren't you changed yet?" Caleb asks.
"You can see I'm not. I was waiting for you to show up."
He blanches as he looks up and down your naked frame. "Christ, Will, we're friends, but we're not that kind of friends."
"Shut up. I just figured -- Okay, I don't know what I was figuring, except that I wanted to wait for you to show up. I got Eva's mask here, Jessica's is in the guys' bedroom. Or do you want to be Eva?"
"They're twins, Will, I'm not sure it -- " Caleb stops, and gnaws deeply at a lip. "Well, I'll take Eva, if it's all the same to you."
"It's not all the same to you?"
Caleb shrugs awkwardly.
"Okay, here." You scoop up her things and shove them at him. "We can do it in the bedroom. Or, separately, if -- "
Caleb starts to follow you into the bedroom, then pulls back. "Yeah, maybe separately is the way to go."
"Why?"
"Like, maybe I don't want to wake up to find you fingering me?"
"I wouldn't!" Then you blink. Now that he's said it, he might be thinking about doing the same to you. "Okay, but you take the bathroom. I'll take the, uh -- "
'The bedroom, Will."
"Shut up." Why do you feel so flustered suddenly?
Oh. Right. It's because you're about to turn yourself into Jessica Garner. That sets off the thrill all over again as you shut the bedroom door behind you. And the thrill comes harder because now it's a different girl in the fantasy, which recharges the batteries, so to speak.
There are three masks laying on Connor's unmade bed, and you have to sort through them to find Jessica's. You're about to take it over to Justin's bed with you when you pause. There's the mask of that girl Hannah. She might be interesting, since you know so little about her.
And then there's the mask of Marc. That's not so exciting, but you've been having so much fun anticipating getting inside the skin of one of his sisters that it might be fun to delay that changeover a little longer. It might also be more useful to go as Marc over to Kelsey's. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
