Sydney brings up the web pages for a number of the clubs, but none of them really light a fire for you. You notice after awhile that she's been avoiding the club names that she listed under the "academic" classification. But she doesn't flinch or wince when you ask her to show you some of them.
First up is the Brainwave Club, which you're not surprised to see is dominated by some pretty geeky guys: Christian Knouse, Hugh Flake, Howie Baylor, Brent Pruitt. There's a lot more—it looks like one of the bigger clubs at Westside, which surprises you—but it doesn't excite you enough that you pick it right away.
The Language Club is another big one, and it's dominated by a lot of snobs of the AP variety: Martin Gardinhire, Kelsey Blankenship, Amanda Ferguson, Ricky Golia, Anthony Kirk, and ... ugh ... Geoff Mansfield. Except ... hmm ... turning Geoff and his friends into worshippers of a goat-headed demon might be kind of fun. But there's a whole range of character types in it, including athletes like Catherine Muskov.
The Creative Club is filled with the "artsy" types that Sydney said could almost come out as adherents of Baphomet. You know or have classes with several of the people in it: Tim Gerard, Karl Hennepin, and Andy Tackett. There's a little bit of overlap with the Language Club ...
... but the Literary Society is where the AP snobs and the poetry guys really mix: Geoff, Martin, Kelsey, Amanda, Brooke, Ricky, Tim, Eric, Andy, Kevin Winkler ...
