The day went on quickly, Laura kept Isabel busy and you could focus on the chores so effectively they were pretty much done by noon.
Because you needed to take care of your sister you whipped up a couple of sandwiches for her and Laura, going to your sister's room you caught Isabel playing to put makeup on your cousin's face and couldn't help but laugh out loudly at the results while Laura just threw an annoyed face at you. You thought getting that treatment would have been an actual punishment, but despite knowing Laura was helping you out you still found the results way too funny.
With all of you now on the dining room eating the sandwiches Laura took her vengeance commenting how bland they were and how she could easily make a better one.
"Oh please, I'm sure you don't even touch the kitchen in your house" you can't help but keep riling her up
"Of course I do, that's how I know this isn't good enough"
"I've never had a sandwich made by you, Laura" Isabel interjected
"Hmm, tell you what, give me a few minutes to prepare one and you can see why it's better" Laura smiled at your sister and at your reaction. You knew what you made wasn't that special, but you felt pretty confident Laura couldn't make it better
"We don't need to waste food making more bad sandwiches, just let her eat and move on"
"More bad sandwiches? So you admit this is not good right?" Laura answered and Isabel giggled at your gaffe
"Ugh! fine, but when she discards yours we're even" you said, thinking this could be your freedom card and you would no longer owe anything to either Laura and Isabel, meaning you could have the rest of the day to play videogames and relax
"Even? but you owe me and your sister too" Laura laughed and you shot a confused look at Isabel, you thought all she wanted was spending the day with her cousin
"Sorry bro, but Laura told me calling her is not a punishment so you still owe me" Isabel shrugged her shoulders
"Yes, even" you insisted
"Fine, but if my sandwich is better then prepare for some actual punishment" Laura said deviously and you felt a bit of dread, the day wasn't going like you wanted at all. You gave a pleading look to your sister as if trying to tell her having Laura here was already a punishment with the way she was treating you, but she seemed to ignore it
Laura prepared another round of sandwiches while you waited, hoping you were right and your cousin didn't spend time around the kitchen. With Isabel you didn't fear losing bets against her, but Laura was older and with the way she liked putting you down things could get a bit nasty
