This choice: They go out on a date, and Carey brings the wand along. • Go Back...Chapter #6Meeting Alexis and the wand's wildfire. by: 4morian5   Carey woke up to the sun glaring at her through the window. Slightly sweaty, she hauled herself up to a sitting position, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. A quick shower and hot breakfast perked her up enough to contemplate the wand again. "I wonder if my wish about Alex came true." No sooner had she thought this than a knock at the door signaled Alex's arrival. "Ah, there he is. I thought he'd forgotten I promised to hang out with him today." She stopped to fix her hair a bit, then opened the door to greet Alex. "Hey there Ale...oh, hello." At the door was not Alex, but a girl, a dark haired, sexy girl. She smiled and said, "Hey there, sexy. Ready to go?" Carey slammed the door shut.
"What the hell? Who is she?!" Carey thought with alarm. She had never seen her before, but the girl seemed to know her. That, or she was some creep looking for a cheap thrill. She peeked through the peephole. The girl was still there, bewildered. "Carey, what was that about? I know you didn't forget about our date!" Date? The only person I have a "date" with is...it dawned on Carey. The girl outside had features in common with Alex, dark hair, blue eyes, pale skin, mostly skinny. She was super hot, and a girl, someone Carey could love. Her eyes fell on the wand. "I...my wish must have turned Alex into a girl!" She whispered to herself. Gathering her nerves, she opened the door again.
"You okay, Carey? What was that about?" "Oh, umm, nothing. I..wanted to make myself look nice." Alex smiled and stroked Carey's hair."You always look nice, Care." Carey smiled nervously. "Well, uh, so, are you okay, with, you know..." Carey gestured to Alexis' body. "Whacha you mean?" "Well, with being a girl?" Alexis raised on eyebrow. "Uh, I guess, I've been a girl for a while now." "But, you were a guy yesterday!" "No, I think I would have noticed that." Carey was confused. "Alex, I accidentally turned you into a girl. I wished you were someone I could love, so you became a girl I could love." Alexis was less confused and more worried now. "Care, are you okay? Your acting awfully weird. Maybe the date's a bad idea." Carey shook her head. "No, I'm fine, just a little tired." She headed into her bedroom. "I'll be right out, let me get ready." Safely in her room, she thought about her situation. Alexis was really beautiful, and she acted like Alex did. Carey dug out a photo album and looked through it. It had all the pictures she'd taken at the last state fair, which she'd gone to with Alex. Except, in the pictures, there was no Alex, only Alexis. They looked they were having fun, like she had with Alex. Carey came to an unbelievable conclusion. She hadn't just changed Alex, but she'd altered reality all of Alex's history was changed to include Alexis instead. Although, all of her memories were of Alex, not Alexis. She was unaffected. So, only the holder of the wand was aware of the changes. A knock on the door snapped her out of her memories. "You okay in there, Care?" "Yeah, don't come in! I'm naked!" "That's not really a reason to not come in!" Carey giggled. Alexis had Alex's humor, but it was more naughty. She liked it. Carey looked through her closet for something nice to wear. She found a red blouse and a cute white skirt to wear. She added some glass jewelry and, after some last minute fussing with her hair, she joined Alexis in the living room.
Alexis was spread out on the couch, flipping the wand over and over in her hand. "Alex!" Alexis jumped and dropped the wand. As it hit the ground, a flash came out of it's tip and bounced around the room. Carey froze. Noone had held the wand. Would anyone notice the changes?  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
