Robb blanched at the sudden turn of events.
"Big brother? How could I be your big brother?" The smile quickly left Zach's face, his frown returning and his eyes beginning to water once more. Robb felt like he had been punched in the stomach. He couldn't believe that he was going to make this kid cry twice in one hour.
"You don't have to be my big brother if you don't want to," Zach said, his voice quivering as tears threatened to spill from his eyes. "I just thought that since your older than me, and because you're nice, maybe we could be brothers." The tears began rolling down his face as Robb watched. Panicking, he quickly tried to stop the tears of the gargantuan child before him.
"Hey hey hey!! I never said I didn't want to be your brother! I just... You know... How can I be your big brother since you're so much bigger than me? That's all I meant."
"Hehe. It doesn't matter if your tiny compared to me," Zach laughed shakily as he wiped his tears. "I'm just gonna keep getting bigger and bigger as I get older, even if I don't want to. And I want you to be my big brother cause I don't ever remember having a family. But if you don't want to, we can just be friends." Robb could still here a hint of sadness in the giant's, no, in ZACH'S statements trailed off. He really wanted a family, and having a big brother must be very important to him.
'I don't know how long I'll be on this island, if I can even leave,' Robb thought to himself. 'And Zach will need someone to talk to. It can't be good for him to be lone his entire life...'
" I don't think I can be your big brother Zach," Robb said hesitantly. Zach's body dropped as more tears rolled down his checks. Every huge muscle tensed and shook as he cried. He pressed his palms into his eyes , furiously trying to wipe his tears away. Zach sobbed into his hands, only peeling them away when he felt a small hand pressed against his though. Looking down he saw the face of the smiling Robb. " you're just too huge for ME to be the big brother. But I can be your older brother. That seems more.. Appropriate."
Laughing, Zach swept Robb into his arms, nearly crushing Robb into his dense pecs.
"Oh big brother, I said it wouldn't matter how tiny you are!! You still made me happy! Now we can do everything together! We can play games, I can show you where I sleep, we can talk all day-"
"We can do all those things Zach! Just let me breathe!"
"Oops!" Zach panicked, loosening his grip on his new big brother Robb, dropping him onto the damp soft rock of the cave.
"And I'm not tiny. I'm six feet five inches tall. It's you who's huge, you big goofball!" Robb laughed at how excited, yet nervous, Zach seemed to be.
"I'm sorry big brother! I won't drop you or hurt you ever again," Zach promises enthusiastically, his boyish face smiling, showing his true age despite having such a hugely muscles body. "To make it up to you...
