Peter couldn't believe his eyes as they entered the village. All around him were these humongous hut entrances, and he could see a couple of other boys just like Nikhil. Finding one 20 ft tall teenager was already quite strange, but once the adrenaline of the ambush was over and he was witnessing a whole village of beings like his giant companion Peter felt he was in some sort of science fiction movie.
Peter looked up at Nikhil wanting to ask so many questions, but Nikhil only gave him a warm smile that encouraged him to be patient while they continued slowly walking to the village. Not wanting to annoy the giant boy Peter decided to look around and kept finding weird things. For example, he saw the entrances to the huts were quite big, almost double the size of Nikhil, but when he could see a couple of other boys walking around and speaking in what he believed was also Hindi he could understand why this was the case, not everyone in the village was the same size. One of the boys walking around looked like he would be chest height to Nikhil even if he looked just as ripped, while the other one was built like a strongman and was considerably taller.
Another thing Peter noticed was how everything seemed to be.. proportionally accurate in this village except him, everything he knew was like 5 or more times bigger than what he remembered. The trees around the huts were so big they didn't make sense, how could he miss them from his plane? The leaves and branches on the floor looked larger and wider, and one fruit hanging from a nearby tree looked so big it could keep him nourished for days. Even a couple of bugs that were minding their business near one of the trees looked bigger. Though not big enough to be a threat to an average sized man like Peter, they looked more like the size of small pets instead of little bugs from his perspective.
The last thing he noticed was how there seemed no adults at all around, or even girls. Peter spotted another couple of boys, both a couple of feet smaller than his new friend, and then another giant running around with another panther on its tow. Even if he was taller than Nikhil he wasn't as muscular, and in fact he looked quite a bit younger from the soft features on his face and more energetic behavior.
The trek finally ended as Kalima stopped and sat near the entrance of one of the huts. Peter watched as Nikhil grabbed an unlit torch and disappeared from his range of vision, coming back half a minute later and entering the hut with the giant panther following suit. Nikhil set the now lit torch in one of the walls and finally looked down at Peter with a smile, giving him again that weird sense of calmness he shouldn't be feeling in such a strange environment. The giant boy knelt down, patted Kalima on the head and using both hands grabbed Peter, setting him on the floor.
"Are you ok?" Nikhil asked, again using a fairly neutral tone of English
Peter nodded dumbly, in a daze as he finally was on the floor and had enough time to compare his size next to everything. His head was just a bit above Nikhil's knee, and Kalima who was just sitting there lazily swinging its tail looked to be more than twice his size. The hut was rather rudimentary and didn't have much other than a couple of surfaces to sit and use for support and a giant bed covered by leaves.
Peter looked back at Nikhil and noticed he was eyeing him curiously but not interrupting, giving him the space to explore the hut and satisfy the apparent need of compare himself with everything around him.
"I need to tell the others about you, but I guess you have some questions" Nikhil said. "Or would you like to rest first?" He pointed at the giant bed and moved his legs a bit, allowing Peter to see how his hamstrings and thighs expanded and contracted in a kinda intimidating way.
