Tommy walked into his room and placed Ramone on his bed. He opened his closet door, trying to pull something out, hidden in the back. A few moments later, after fishing through a few fallen shirts and pants, the boy brought out several pieces of a hamster cage, placing it in front of his bed and trying to put it all together.
"So, Tommy," Ramone said, making conversation. "You're pretty big for a kid your age."
"Yeah, I know," the boy replied, taking it as a compliment. "Though, lucky for me, my generation is going to be even bigger than Largo's."
Ramone gulped, trying to imagine Tommy even bigger than his brother one day. "That's...good," he said slowly, the realization sinking in.
Tommy wiped off the few remaining pieces of gunk on the side of the cage, then placed it on the bed. It rose about 25 feet into the air, to Ramone anyway, glistening like an orange, transparent dollhouse. "I guess hamsters here are as big as horses," Ramone mused to himself.
"Well, here you go," the kid said, motioning for Ramone to go inside.
"Actually, can I stay out for a while?" the man asked. "I have a little problem with enclosed spaces."
"Oh, okay," Tommy said, putting the hamster cage back on the floor. "I didn't want you to go to sleep yet, anyway." He picked Ramone up and walked over to his computer desk. He sat down, turning the computer on. Ramone watched as the Microsoft logo came on, followed by the chime.
The kid then went to a half dozen websites in the next half-hour, while Ramone sat patiently on the desk, next to the mouse pad. "You wanna check your e-mail?" Tommy asked. "I'm going to go to a friend's house."
"Sure," Ramone answered, walking over to the computer. The kid soon left, leaving him alone in the room.
He started typing an e-mail out, sending it to as many people as he could think of, hoping someone could rescue him...
