*There on the top of the dial was a wrinkly looking symbol. Michelle turned the dial and suddenly a flash when off in her eye.
"Well, that answers that." Michelle said as she turned back to her children.
"Answers what?" asked Robby.
Michelle turned the medallion over revealing the symbol. "It seems to be a brain. I really love magic. This thing just put the information in my head."
"It just uploaded it like a computer?" Lilly looked on interested more than before.
"Not only that, but this setting allows mental changes. We can just turn the setting on or off by switching to it before using the other features or even just by itself. " explained Michelle as she walked closer to Robby.
"Mom, I don't like that look you're giving me..."
"Oh, sweetie, don't be afraid. Just testing something out."
"Mom, wait!" Before he could finish, Michelle touched the medallion to her sons chest. There was a brief flash. Robby blinked repeatedly before looking around. "What did you do?" He asked feeling himself over. "I don't feel different."
With a big smile, Michelle set the medallion down and looked over to Lilly. "I tweaked your head a bit. Just a little one to see how much it affects you." She walked over to the closet and started rooting around. "Aha!" She exclaimed as she revealed a tennis ball.
Immediately, Robby's eyes were glued to the green ball. Michelle slowly waved the ball to the left then the right, watching her son follow with rapt attention. Then all of a sudden she chucked the ball down the hall. "Go fetch!" As the ball bounced down and around the bend into a bedroom.
Robby bolted after the ball like his life depended on it. 'Gotta fetch the ball!' Robby thought as he ran even getting down on all fours. He bite the ball and turned on his heel and ran back to his mother's out stretched hand where he deposited the ball.
Michelle and Lilly looked shocked as Robby stood there panting looking expectantly at his mother. "Good boy, Robby. Good boy." Michelle exclaimed as she ruffled her son's hair. As she did, his leg started to thump the ground.
Lilly stood there watching the strange scene. "Did you make him a dog or what?" Her grin never wavering.
Michelle set the ball down and continued petting Robby's head. "Something like that. I gave him the instincts of a dog. For the most part. Can't have him chasing cars and getting into fights with other dogs. But I did make him as obedient as one, plus the added effect of loving pets and compliments. Isn't that right Robby?" She cooed as she used both hands to pet his head and scratch his belly.
Robby was on cloud nine. He could stop his thumping leg as he just basked in the positive attention. Then all of a sudden, it was over. He opened his eyes and looked at his family like he just streaked naked down the street.
"Oh, this is gonna be really fun!" Lilly smiled and picked up the medallion.
