The Cat shelter

Jane continued driving for about 20 minutes.
”I also want to tell you a thing about your names. I know you are used to being called by the names you have kept since birth but those are male names. And with the whole changing gender thing we cannot keep those names then can we?”
”So instead i have chosen new names for you that suits Female cats.. So Carl,John,Ben and Isaac you are from now on Callie, Lola, Bella and Cleo. I Hope you like those names because that is what you are all called from now on.” Jane said
Changing names was still the least of your problems. You were far more worried about the fact that you had lost your entire life and humanity. You felt like you were att rock bottom. I must be one of the unluckiest humans in the history of this planet you though to yourself. Hell i can not even call myself human anymore since i am cat! You continued thinking.
After about another 5 minutes of driving you arrived at the shelter. It was Housed in a large rectangle shaped longhouse that was connected to a large villa. There was a massive yard where atleast 10 different cats were playing around. Before you were released onto the yard Jane briefed you about the rules
”Before you enter my cat shelter you must first know some things. I will provide you with food, shelter and sleeping spots. You will not have any trouble finding friends. A few of the cats here has suffered similar fates to you four. You can go and come as you like but by 6 am all of you should be inside the shelter. Or else i will find you” Jane said with a serious voice.
Then she released you into the shelter. You were still getting used to walking on all fours but you found it surprisingly easy to get the hang of it. When you reached the cat door you realised that you were alone. The other four had either started to explore or went and played with the other cats. You contemplated to join them but you decided to go inside of the shelter instead.
The inside of the shelter looked quite cozy. With rows off high quality sleeping places for cats. There were not that many cats inside. You figured that most of them were off exploring during the day. Then you heard a relived voice in catspeak say.
”At last another human mind here”.
You turned around to see that a cat was sitting on one of the climbing towers above you. It was a slightly larger cat with a more blackish grey fur than you and with green eyes.
”How did you know” You asked
”You still act like a human on your body language” the other cat answered. Then the cat jumped down beside you.
”I have not seen another former human here in 2 weeks. The ones who were here when i arrived were adopted the same day.”
”Who are you”? You asked
”Well my human name is not important but my new name is Milo. And if you want to know who i was as a human then i was a 16 year old boy.” Who are you then? Milo asked back.
”My human name was Isaac and i was a 17 year old boy” You anwered.
”So you switched gender?” Milo asked
”How did you know? But yes” You responded.
”As a cat you have some advantages. One of them is sn increased sense of smell. If you learn to focus it you can learn some things that humans would find much harder. So before i even saw you i noticed that you were of the opposite gender to me. And what is your new name then?”
”Cleo” You answered
”Cleo, that is a cute name” Milo anwered back
”Thanks, so can you show me around the rest of the facility you continued. You did not know why but you had a strong feeling that you wanted to stay around Milo.
You two spent the next couple of hours wandering the facility and talking about your past and now present lives.
