The blast of fire burns you, scroching you badly, but you survive. Moving quickly you run the shaman through wile his earstwhile compatriot runs off to safty. Releasing the bound man, you proceed to lead him out of the forest. Though not life threatening, your injury wil lay you up for weeks. You could go to the local Temple of the Goddess of Light, but you were never a very religious man. Once you arrive in town, the man you rescued ofered an alternative option; a witch lived outside of town and could heal you, probably for a fee. His wife is happy to see you two and pays you the reward, five hundered gold. Now you just have to decide whether or not to heal up magicly, or take a break from adventuring.
