Anna and the boy stand in a corner, behind an odd-looking contraption leaning against the wall there. Anna is on the verge of screaming, but the boy desperately clasps his hand over her mouth to quiet her.
Anna is horrified to see a sinister-looking bald, bearded man with a bluish tint to his skin sauntering down the stairs into the room, from the area which should be her bedroom! As he descends, the man asks in a condescending tone, “Now then, Dalzer, after a little time to contemplate your situation, are you ready to tell me…Aiieee! He’s GONE! Oh, no! I must recapture him! Where IS that pesky little nuisance?!?”, and the man begins feverishly searching around the room, looking under the stout table the boy had been tied down on and then starting in shadowy corners over by the stairs.
Seizing the chance, the boy with the odd name of Dalzer lets go of Anna and rushes towards the stairs leading back up the short hall out of the mysterious room -
