Chapter #5

To The Point

    by: Jenn Author IconMail Icon
As soon as the eerie servant girl is out of sight (you shudder at the thought of her; you decide you don't like her), you turn to Lucas and hold him with your sparkling blue eyes.

"Well, Prince Lucas," you say sarcastically. "I don't know what you are plotting, but I just want to give you fair warning that I shall discover it."

Lucas glances at you with a bemused smirk. "Why, Princess...what ever would I be plotting?" he asks, his eyebrows raised with mock innocence.

You feel as though he can see right through you, directly into your innermost thoughts. You feel your legs tremble. Your breath comes quicker. You tear your eyes away from his. How dare he make you nervous!

You quickly regain your composure, skillfully guarding your emotions. Your eyes settle on Lucas once again. "There is something about you...You are not like the other suitors who have come seeking my hand in marriage."

Lucas's grin widens. You get the slight impression that he finds you amusing. How dare he! Before you can comment on his audacity, he stares deep into your eyes and says, "I bet you like adventure."

You gasp. How could he know that? He continued, "I know the perfect way to have some fun!"

What do you do?

You have the following choices:

1. See what he has in mind.

*Noteb*
2. Get angry and ask why he's so weird.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
