The sound of music...or in this case, lack thereof

None of the maids were familiar with what it was Robert suggested. Even Ria, the only one maid somewhat familiar with heavy metal music, hadn't heard of "Disposable Heroes" before. As such, no music played as a result of their unfamiliarity.

"Hey! Why isn't it playing?" Robert asked, a little annoyed.

"It seems that the stereo is broken", Erika lied.

"But it was just working a minute ago.."

"How about you choose something else, Master Robert?" Ellen tried to change the subject. "Like a more recognizable band, like David Bowie or R.E.M.?"

"I don't really like those bands", Robert sighed, an even more annoyed stare on his face. "Plus, where all these speakers set up, anyway?"

"In the basement!" Erika lied once more. "All the electronics are hooked up in the basement!"

"I guess that makes sense", Robert said, the maids all simultaneously sighing in relief. Ellen and Michelle backed up a little bit to talk to each other.

"We can't keep this up. Master Robert will eventually learn we have magic", Michelle whispered into her friend's right ear. "We might as well seal all the exits and come clean."

"Hey, I was the only one of us who wanted to tell him from square one! I'm all for it!" Ellen replied.

"There's another reason as well; I don't want to pressure Erika and Ria", noted Michelle. "Their magic isn't as strong as ours, and they could end up backfiring on Robert..or worse."

"I agree, but you three were the one who wanted this..unless you're going back", snickered Ellen.

"I'm afraid I may have to", confessed Michelle, looking distraught.
