Magical Chains

Soon after Felix left the cage, several of Lord William's men rushed into the cage. Lord William wanted to break the beast by torture but little did he know that Felix was going to turn William's whole plan against him. The men started to stab at the basilisk causing it to bleed. "Why are they doing this to me?" Thought the basilisk. Afterward one of the soldiers stayed behind to check on the chains. He immediently saw the rust and he ran toward the throne room. "I need to see lord William" said the solider, sweat running down his face. The guard gave him a questioning glance and asked "Why do you seek audience with the king?"
"The basilisk"s chain is lose and rusty!"
"You may enter." The soldier carefully walked down to Lord William and bowed. "What is it? Can't you see i'm busy right now?" Felix was shining Lord Williams crown when the soldier answerd "The chain that hold the beast in place is loose and rusty."
"Felix! Give me my crown and get me my magician! And you soldier what is your name?"
"Jenson."
Jenson I here by give you a spot in my council and a promotion. That means you don't have to work as a guard anymore."
"Thank you my lord"

Back at the cage Lord William and his magician,Kulper were preparing to magically strengthen the chains. The basilisk was sleeping so as long as they were quite they would be fine. Kulper muttered the magic words and smeared the pre-made elixir on the chain. The chain started glowing dark blue and that means the spell was successful.
