Sean is feeling more and more isolated and fearful as the boys press in closer. Sean is waist level to the kids and it is only with great effort that he is able to keep his clothes from falling off him. Just when he was about to fall back against the side of the house, he sees a bigger figure come up behind the boys and push them aside. Samantha pulls the boys away and looks down at Sean, who cranes his neck up, seeing that she had brought him a towel, his saving grace. With the boys having been pushed back, but still watching, Samantha hands the towel over to Sean, who immediately tries to dry himself off. Since his clothes are soaking wet, he is only able to dry his arms and legs, slowing but not reversing his dwindling. Realizing this problem, Sean pulls his large shirt off, dropping it on the ground, and applies the towel to his now-growing chest, neck and back.
When Sean reaches around 4 and a half feet tall and still growing, he stands up and motions to Samantha that he wants to go inside. She obliges and shoos away the two boys, who had been talking in hushed tones between themselves. Fortunately, Sam's mother had gone out to run errands, so Sean and Sam headed upstairs to her room. Sean led the way, holding up his tenuously clinging and still damp shorts, finding it strange to feel the larger form of his girlfriend following behind. They reach her room; Sean plops the towel down on a chair and sits himself on the still-oversized seat while Samantha closes the door and sits on her bed.
"So," she said, "what was that about?"
Sean looked up at her, seeing how big she still appeared to be and says, "It's an experiment. When I get wet, I become smaller. The wetter I get, the quicker I shrink. I was on my way home from the lab; I stopped by to tell you."
"Ohh baby," Sam crooned, "I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Are you alright?
"Yeah, I think I just need to dry out my shorts and boxers and I'll be all set." Sean's growing had stalled at around five feet tall due to the damp shorts he still wore.
"Okay, you can use the bathroom to get undressed. Just use a towel while I put your clothes in the dryer." Sam offered.
"That'd be great," replied Sean as he stood up. Samantha also stood up at the same time, Sean noticed her eyeing him up and down, his smaller self being something of a mystery to her. Sean headed to the bathroom with the towel, stripping off his wet clothes and depositing them outside the doorway. He used the towel to finish drying himself off and then wrapped himself with it, stepping outside the bathroom and quickly shooting back up to his full height.
"There's my big man again," Sam said, looking up. "I'll put these in the dryer for 20 minutes and they'll be all set. Do you want to go get your shirt outside?"
Sean looked down at himself, while fullsized, he was only wearing a towel, which was much smaller than he remembered it being a mere 15 minutes ago. Sam understood and fetched his shirt from the backyard for him. She headed down into the basement with his wet clothes. Sean decided to sit down and relax for a little while. He did this until...
