Mickey's eyes were glued to the titanic form of his little brother, who at the moment (unbeknownst to Mickey) stood at about 12 feet tall, and had stopped growing for now.
"What happened? Why are you so small?"
Mickey tried to open his mouth to say something, anything, but all that came out was a squeak.
"Mickey?" Mike tried again, to no avail.
The 7th grader veered his legs to face his smaller older brother, and as he sat criss cross in the center of the living room, he distracted himself with all the damage he had caused in his sleep.
"Woah!" Mike said, his voice booming in Mickey's ears.
His hands, which were cradled towards his chest, jutted out to touch the debris that laid hanging around the hole he made.
"Don't -" Mickey tried, his voice rising, but it was too late.
"This must be a dream," Mike said to himself, feeling the rough ridges of the wood he smashed before turning to face his brother.
"At least I'm not the shortest anymore," he teased, to which Mickey shook in fear.
Mike noticed his older brother trembling at the sight of him and placed his oversized hand gently on the side of his face.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
Mickey, who was used to towering over his brother and not one to be intimidated with his muscles, tried to answer:
"I-I'm fine. It's just that...you're huge!"
Mike chuckled, "Yeah. I guess I finally got that growth spurt,"
Mike removed his hand from Mickey as he stretched his legs on either side of him, pushing the couch and the TV in the process.
"Oops-" he said, "good thing this is just a dream, or that would be expensive!"
"A dream?" Mickey asked, staring at the broken items in question.
"Yeah! There's no way I could actually grow like this in real life!"
Mickey paled. His kid brother, the one he had played with for years on end and would never hurt a fly, just destroyed part of the house and thought it was a dream.
"But..." Mickey tried, "you could feel me. And you could also feel the TV and couch. How could this be a dream?"
Mike shrugged, "What else could explain this?"
The boys stayed silent for a bit.
"Welp, there's the answer to that. But now the Big Weekend can begin!" He said, and Mickey shivered.
"Maybe when I wake up I could even tell Mickey about this," he muttered to himself.
"We'll start by..."
