It was rather ironic working at a tofu shop one would expect those that work there to be rather light weight given the food served and cooked there.
Perhaps that was what caused Rise Kujikawa to chuckle before quickly sighing and poking a finger that the smallish belly she had begun to develop these past few weeks.
The others were lucky whenever the group fought Shadows all of her friends went all out but Rise being support didn't need to do much except stay stationary, provide verbal assistance, and watch the battle to it's climax. As stated earlier Rise didn't even have to move from her location since "Her Senpei" (Souji) would always rush over to protect her in case she came under fire. Obviously she loved that the gray haired youth watched over her but eventually all that grateful protection was beginning to have a toll on Rise.
Rise wasn't a big sports fan, or rather while she didn't take part in any sport activities she still came to games belonging to the teams of the school, and politely refused taking Yumi's place in the Drama club when the raven haired girl and Souji asked her (the details of Yumi's departure were apparently personal to the girl so Rise didn't pursue any further...) so that left the former pop idol with a lot of time on her hands.
Time that she would use to tag along with Chie, and Yukiko at times, to get a bite to eat. Of course Chie burned through the calories at an alarming rate so she never seem to gain even so much as half a pound but not so for Rise who had a much less active lifestyle then the blonde tomboy...
So with all that said Rise found herself at the end of her small break shrugging at the weight she had put on. Truthfully it wasn't much 5 maybe 10 pounds at most, and if there was one tiny positive it had puffed up her figure a tad it wasn't much but she was a bit more curvier then she had previously been.
So maybe it wasn't a complete disaster Rise thought amusingly but she still knew she had do something about this before it could perhaps get out of control. Rise obviously didn't mind being a bit thicker but being a blubber ball was definitely out of the question.
