"Sorry, but I don't think this would work out" Serena said. "And I'm in a happy relationship with Dan, still"
Carter nodded, embarrassed. For a moment, he looked like he'd want to say something else, but he changed his mind.
"At least let me buy you a dinner. For old times sake. I know the best Italian place, just around the corner"
Serena hesistated. Before, she had a big lunch before and she was still pretty full after those vanilla moccas. But she knew that she would fell bad about saying no to him again. So she shook her head.
"Sure, why not" she said, lifting up from her chair. She put on her tight summer dress and followed Carter, who took her to some new restaurant that she had never heard before. When they arrived, Carter insisted on ordering.
"You have to let me order. I know which dishes are the best." Carter said.
"If you say so" Serena laughed as she took a sip of some sweet drink that he ordered before.
So Carter ordered, but instead of a meal for a two people, it was like there was a four of them. He ordered five types of pasta, three pizzas and all desserts possible. Serena looked at the food shocked.
"I think this is a little too much" she laughed as she took a first bite of the pizza.
"Trust me, you'll love it" he smiled mischievously. And she did - the food was so delicious that Serena couldn't stop herself from eating it, even though she fell full by the end of first plate of pasta. At the end, she devoured almost four of them, as well as one huge pizza. She also georged herself with rich and heavy desserts.
"I don't know what came into me" she burped after three hours, when the feast was over. She litterally couldn't move. She put a hand on her belly that was so full and heavy. She knew she didn't have to worry about gaining weight - it wasn't fat, just full from all the food. But she was so lethargic, that she dithed her initial plan to go for a jogging to burn all of these callories. Instead, she decided to go home and sleep if all. She had the best metabolism after all.
"I told you, the food here is to die for"
"You were right" Serena massaged her taut belly, slowly rising up from her chair. Instead of walking home, she decided to take a cab.
"Maybe we can do this again, some day? It was great to spend some time with you"
"Yeah, for sure." Serena had nothing against spending time with Carter like that. They were friends after all, and she was dying to know what other places he knew about.
"Call me when you're bored" - Carter smiled, walking her to the cab. From the side it looked almost as if Serena was pregnant
"I will" she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before entering the cab. She couldn't wait to go to bed to sleep off her feast. And then to be able to go back to the restaurant for another one.
