12-year old Cassandra Meece, the only character in the story so far with a known surname, was just walking home. Sporting some of the coolest urban attire in the hoods and chewing gum, she had arrived just an hour after dismissal. Why so late coming out, you ask?
"Detention...is cool!" She laughed. Yes, she was a juvenile delinquent, a fact and title that she, for some reason, held in deep pride.
Responsible and caught up in acts like shoplifting, vandalism and bullying, Cassandra was a natural-born troublemaker.
"I should get Rachel in trouble too..." She murmured to herself "I could use the company in detention"
Failing to look below and see the necklace, Cassandra ends up kicking it around against the very dumpster it came out of a while back. Eh...probably not a good idea.
