“Hello, anyone out there?” Tanya heard a voice call out.
“Yeah, I’m here.” Tanya called back, the voice sounded familiar somehow, but she couldn’t yet place it.
“Oh thank goodness. For a while there I thought I was the only one here who spoke English, maybe even alone on this island. Anyway- OH MY GOD!” A three inch tall girl screamed as she came from the foliage of the jungle.
When Tanya saw her, the voice clicked into place. “Wait, Susan, is that you?” Tanya asked. She had met Susan only briefly when they both got on the boat at the beginning of the cruise, but it was long enough for Tanya to remember Susan’s looks and voice.
“T- Tanya? You survived too?” Susan stammered.
“Yeah. But what happened to you? You were about as tall as me when we met, and now… now you’re as tall as my ankle.” Tanya asked, kneeling by Susan.
“I don’t know. I woke up on the beach like this. Tanya, I’m scared.” Susan said timidly.
