"Yeah, me too. But... What about your life?" Tommy said to his best friend. "I mean... You are not a kid anymore, so you don't have to go to school. You are an adult, but you don't have a job."
"Yes... Well... I..." Daniel really wanted to be an adult, but he didn't think on that!
"Oh, I have an idea!" Tommy said smiling.
"What is it?" Daniel wondered.
"You... You could be a superhero!" his best friend said. "That would be the best job for you!"
"A superhero!?" Daniel didn't understand.
"Yes! Your magical powers can turn you into a cool superhero. You can grant any wish, you can make happy people! You must turn into a superhero!" Tommy said as he did some poses showing off his supermuscles.
"I don't follow you... You mean I must wear a cape and briefs like Superman?"
Tommy laughed.
"Haha! Not exactly. You could keep your singlet as a uniform, but yes, you would cool with a costume like Superman. Anyway, I was talking about doing favours to other people.
Imagine a father that wants to spend more time with his son, you'll be there to turn him into a kid! Imagine a kid that wants to work out with his father at the gym, you'll be there to turn him into an adult!"
"Do you think it's a good idea?" Daniel asked his best friend.
"Of course!"
"Okay then!" Daniel said. He had to admit it sounded good, it was the best way to help people with his demigod powers. He snapped his fingers and...
FLOOOSH! After a white flash that blinded Tommy for some seconds, Daniel was already wearing his new superhero costume. His skin was fully filled by a red tight fabric that covered almost all his body. He was also wearing long blue boots and gloves, and also blue briefs with a golden yellow belt. He had a big golden 'D' on his chest. He kept the same muscles he had some seconds ago, and he really looked like a real superhero!
Suddenly, Tommy also noticed that he was also wearing a similar costume! It was almost the same, but it had blue and red colors swapped, he was wearing a silver belt and his chest showed a big 'T' made of silver too.
"Hey! Why did you change me too?" Tommy asked.
"From now on I'm known as Super Dan, the famous superhero. Everyone in this city knows me." Daniel said as he flexed his arms. "And you are my helper and assistant, Titan Tom. So forget about your father's old job, you are coming with me." Daniel winked.
"Really!? Cool! Does that mean I have magical powers too?"
"No, sorry, I can't do that. Unfortunately, I'm only allowed to be the only one Demigod on Earth. But I gave you some necessary superpowers like superstrength, flying and teleporting."
"But if I don't have magical powers, how I am going to help you?" Tommy wondered.
"You will understand everything tomorrow!" Daniel grinned.
Tommy knew that he could trust him, so he decided to go to sleep, next day was going to be their first day as superheroes and they had to rest. Daniel created a new room on Tommy's home and slept there. Both slept wearing their new supercostumes, they felt very comfortable with them, it was like a second skin.
Next day, Tommy left John in school. He was ready for his first day as a superhero. He teleported himself to his home again, where Daniel was waiting for me.
"Let's go...!" Daniel said.
"Where are we going today?" Tommy asked.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
