The receptionist had no sooner got back behind the front desk when more people came in from out of the rain, and she watched as they shook themselves off. It looked to be a family party but the clerk couldn't be sure, in any case, a little smile appeared on her face.
"Damn weather, every time we decide to go away the heavens open up" the tall man growled as he took off his wet coat. The receptionist studied the man for a while, he looked to be about 6'4" in height, he had a decent sized beer belly and the receptionist couldn't help but notice the 'huge' bulge in his pants.
"Shit happens, just stop whining about it" the man next to him responded, as he took off his baseball cap and shook it. This man bore a resemblence to the first, but he was younger, about 33 years of age, and the clerk assumed they were relatives. Much like the first man, this second individual also had a considerable beer belly, but he was ahead of him in the good looks department. It was this man who approached the front desk and inquired about a room for a couple of nights.
"Hi there, we'd like a couple of rooms please, my name is Robert Higgins" he said to the receptionist as he rested his rain-soaked cap on the desk. It was now that the receptionist found out just who the new arrivals were, as Robert introduced his family one by one.
His brother, Ben Higgins, was 39 years old, married with three children, he was a heavy smoker and preferred beer to spirits or wine, he was a big football fan, as was Robert himself, but they supported different teams. Standing 6'4" in height, Ben was a 'large' individual and he was quite grumpy a lot of the time, but he tended to cheer up when he had downed a beer or two. Today he was wearing a checkered, red & white collar shirt, a pair of jeans and a pair of size 14 hiking boots on his large feet.
Ben's wife, Veronica Higgins, 37, was an attractive woman, she stood at 5'5" and had shoulder-length red hair that hung in loose curls. Everything about her was feminine, from her manicured nails to her walk, and she had a very sexy figure that made up for anything she lacked in looks. Her large E-Cup breasts were straining to burst out of the pink blouse she was wearing, which complimented her denim capris well. On her feet she had on a pair of white, 4-inch stiletto heeled boots which took her height to 5'9", still considerably smaller than her husband.
Melissa Higgins, 16, was the couple's eldest child, she was prettier than her mother, and she was well aware of the fact, and she wore her long, dyed black hair in a ponytail. She was 5'6" tall and wore a low-cut white top and a push-up bra that put her ample D-Cup breasts in display for all to see, her mouth-watering curves never failed to turn men's heads. She could be a very bitchy and cold-hearted individual if the mood took her, and sometimes even teased those who were more unattractive than her. As her school's Head Cheerleader, she thought she had a reputation to live up to. Her white top was complimented by a short black skirt and a pair of black, stiletto heeled, strappy sandals with 3-inch heels.
Jason Higgins, was their second child, 14 years old and standing 5'8" in height, everyone in the family knew that he would probably be as tall as his father when he finished growing. A very quiet individual, but he also knew how to have fun with his friends whenever he went out with them. He had short reddish brown hair and loved playing on computer games, though he was also a keen sports fan like his father and his uncle. He was dressed in a black sweater, a pair of jeans and some Timberland boots on his feet.
Rebecca Higgins, 11 years old, was the couple's youngest daughter, and unlike most girls her age she was very shy and quiet, the complete opposite of her sister Melissa. She stood only 5' tall and her hair was more blonde than red, she wore a small black cardigan, a white t-shirt adorned with flowers, black capris and a pair of black leather flats on her dainty feet.
While chatting to the receptionist, Robert let it be known that he often accompanied his brother and his family on their family outings, and today they had been on their way to the coast until it started raining. They thought it better to stay at a hotel for a night or two until the weather cleared up.
"Its not a problem, we've got two rooms adjacent to each other on the sixth floor" the receptionist smiled, as she spun the register around and handed Robert a pen.
"Hi honey, we'll probably be only here for a night, we really appreciate it" a boisterous Ben suddenly said as he strode over to the desk.
"Its our pleasure believe me Mr. Higgins" the clerk smiled back politely.
Meanwhile, Melissa was looking around the lobby of the hotel and it was clear by the expression on her pretty face that she wasn't impressed. "God what a dump!" she whispered to her mother.
"Sshhh!!" Veronica responded, as she nudged her daughter, "Its only for a day or two, so suck it up" she then told Melissa, but she also looked at her other two children to be sure that they got the message too.
"Whatever!" Melissa sighed, as she got her phone out and started texting one of her friends.
Once the register was signed, the receptionist once again took the new guests up to their rooms and showed them around before heading straight back down to the lobby. After another five minutes, the staff member who attended the bar came through to the lobby. "Another family?" he asked in astonishment.
"Yeah, business is picking up this year" the woman replied with a grin...
